included us in your plans to watch 9news at 6:00 a.m. i'm andrea roane. >>> i'm mike hydeck. >> we're just going to keep going. >> whatever. i'm mike hydeck. good morning. glad you're with us. it's tuesday. good morning, monika samtani. how are you? hope you're well. mr. howard bernstein, take it away. >>> we have wet weather out there that could slow your commute and it's not warm anymore. temperatures will not be in the 60s and 70s. we'll lucky to get back to 52 this afternoon. we'll see sunshine returning later this morning, especially into the afternoon with a high of 52. but with the breeze, it's going to feel like it's in the 40s. at 5:00 we'll be back to about 49 degrees. the back edge of the rain getting close to interstate 81 up for. you'll notice south -- 81 now. you'll notice south of us we're starting to see the heavier showers. even just north of us coming up 95 and the beltway, the north side of town along with 295 and route 1 but south of us as you get into fauquier county, things starting to break up some. you get north, that's where we still have the heavier showers.

into midday. better chances east and southeast of us. then for the drive home some rain and wet snow in spots and west of town you will be dry most of the day. in fact most of this nor'easter coming up the coast i think west of 95 not that much moisture. in the 30s now and mid 30s in many areas and low 30s in the mountains to around 40 in d.c.. warm spots are 42. but the radar now low pressure coming up coast here through north carolina and virginia and closer to long island now back to southern jersey and even our neck of the woods. one thing is that isn't reaching the ground yet. temperatures today maybe make the low 40 end zone spots but late this afternoon this evening some minor buildup on the grassy surfaces especially east and northeast of town. in baltimore winter weather advisories have been posted. it is 6:00 a.m. time to check in with monika with timesaver traffic. >>> unfortunately ugly on the northbound side of i-95. but look at all the red behind me, going about 16 miles per hour getting up to triangle and dumfries an accident after route 610 blocks the left side of the

us. for us we've got mostly cloudy skies somewhere scraws a sprinkle or -- and just a sprinkle or two. but this is really impressive with the low pressure there off the massachusetts coast. even parts of connecticut close to a foot of snow. locally just little sprinkle or two in the upper part of the bay trying to drive to the south. temperatures this morning, you're going to need to bundle up. they're in the mid 30s to upper 30s in the shenandoah valley. frederick down to 32 with 44 on the bay but when you factor in the wind we've got windchills in the 20s and 30s generally. it's 6:00 a.m. good morning monika samtani. it's almost friday not quite. >>> i think everyone is going to be really happy with the weekend. that's because we've had a couple of issues this week and this morning, it's an the northbound side of 95. it's an overturned box truck two left lanes are blocked north of route 32. let's take a live look from our mdot camera. you're going to see that traffic is jammed through the area heading northbound 95 now the southbound side is not affected by the accident so that'

through the weekend. sandy is keeping it a little bit -- us a little bit cloudy and cool. we should be in low 60s for highs for the beginning of november and only going to be in the mid 50s. i think a lot of people will be catching up on sleep as we get into the weekend. >> that extra hour. >> extra hour of sleep saturday night turning the clocks back. noon 52 and cloudy to mostly cloudy. a little bit breezy at times this afternoon. we're sitting at 9 in manassas and -- 39 in manassas and 46 up in baltimore. and annapolis. and 39 also across the bay in cambridge. one of the cooler spots but winds not too strong this morning so the windchills within that much lower than -- aren't that much lower than the actual temperatures upper 30s to low 40s. the bark worse than the bite on the radar here and we still have some areas of snow also at the higher elevations and some of those folks got over 30 inches of snow incredible storm that sandy was. and we're going to be recovering from sandy across east for quite some sometime. let's they can in with sam -- check in with monika samtani here w
